It started in a spare room.

The original XM3 room: a desk with two monitors showing motion capture software, motion capture cameras mounted along the tops of the walls, and a camera on a tripod in the foreground.
Where it all beganVolume 01

Built one take at a time.

XM3 Studios began as an obsession with motion capture, set up in a single room of a house. Cameras went up along the walls, the first takes went into the software, and experiments slowly turned into client sessions.

Those sessions turned into a library of animation packs used by developers and filmmakers around the world. Every step was self-funded, and every tool either got pushed to its limits or, when it fell short, replaced with something we built ourselves.

We build the tools we wish existed.

Cleaning motion capture has always been slow, expensive and hard to learn. So we're building our own tools, trained on data from our own stage, to make it faster for everyone who works with motion. The first one is almost ready.

  • Trained on our own stage

Models learn from motion we recorded and verified ourselves, not scraped from the internet.

  • Made for any capture system

Built to clean optical, inertial and video-based capture, not just data from our volume.

  • Hours become minutes

Cleanup that used to eat an animator's day, handled before the next take is on the stage.

Let's make something move.

Whether it's a capture session, a custom movement set or a conversation about what we're building, we'd like to hear from you.
